Throwback Thursday -

How many of us enjoy the nostalgia of a throwback? the time when things were quite different and to some aspect exciting and even easier, a memory that would last a lifetime. The idea of a throwback is fun, but it also expresses how far we’ve come in our individual lives, in business and social connections. It reveals the progress that we’ve made and the pride in whatever goals we've accomplished thus far.

Looking back at our memories, good or bad, definitely exposes great learning experiences and lessons which have prepared us for today. With a throwback we will remember the fear that we attempted to overcome that tells us that this too shall pass. A return to an earlier time provides a random thought of happiness, unfortunately misery or just a brief, spontaneous moment where we might smile, laugh or even cry. Either way, a memory is a part of who we were, a time of reflection, recollection and redirection, reflecting upon the moment, recalling the day and time and redirecting our focus to something in which we will achieve. A time where we can reminisce.

Overall our memories become our foundation in life, a glimpse back helps us to recognize God’s blessing in our lives with great anticipation to His blessings in the future. With every memory we’re creating a legacy, a family tradition to pass on.

We all should be beyond grateful to have had all those moments and memories to reflect back on reminding us that life is a journey, one that should be lived with those we make the most memories with where we’ll get the chance to learn who we are and the possibilities of tomorrow, due to a resemblance of our former selves.

An innocent child requires love, understanding, nurturing, guidance, acceptance and care.

Nia received them all even after being born of a drug addicted mother and having four siblings residing with her. It was her Great Grandmother, Mama Francine, who made sure that Nia received all that was essential in her first nine years of life while living in Tallahassee Florida.

After the death of her loving Mama Francine, Nia and her brother, Jerome, would be split from their siblings and sent to live with an aunt and uncle they barely knew. It was there in the confines of her aunt Lovell and uncle Whit's home where those words of care, love and acceptance turned into torment and cruelty. The worst crime of all was the abuse that both Nia and Jerome would suffer, all the while holding it inside. Nia's once giddiness and fun loving nature turned into hatred and emotional instability.

Follow Nia through her journey through self doubt and shame, until one day where those clouds that hovered above her would be turned into A Gift of Sunshine, that in time, she would offer to another.

Alexis Morningside, a young girl from a small town in a single family household, was preparing herself for a life filled with success. She would cause a chain reaction that would destroy the very life she had built for herself and the respect from those around her. Alexis Morningside would do everything necessary for self gratification but in the end she would find out the true significance of “everything necessary”.

Dominique Franklin was a woman of means and she played the part to the very end. She had the big house, the expensive cars and the rich husband she always dreamed of, but she wasn't always the woman she had become. Her plan had been put into action after a graduation vacation to Cancun Mexico with three other teenage girls. The young woman she would become would be forced into a delusional sense of reality beyond just her imagination.

Randall Simms was a handsome young man, well liked in his prominent neighborhood. He and his sister were children of a single parent household after the sudden death of their father, who was killed in a car accident.Randall had huge aspirations for himself once he graduated college, but those dreams of becoming successful would fall apart once he laid eyes on which she became.
